This 2 floor apartment for up to 6 persons, with a large roof terrace and a good view is situated on the famous spanish Costa Blanca, in Gran Alacant, a very calm place between the city Alicante (15 km) and a small town Santa Pola (4 km), close to the Alicante airport (8km) but not in the flight path. Wide sandy beach is 1 km from the apartment. The closest supermarket and two restaurants are 5 minutes walk. Town centre with little shops, a pharmacie, banks, bars and more restaurants are 10 minutes walk. And general atmosphere of rest and relaxation all over. The owners of the apartment like this town for its conviviality and spend here all their holidays.

Gran Alacant is now becoming more and more popular for family holidays. First of all, Gran Alacant is a very calm town with extremely low traffic and away from industrial areas, built as a self-catering vacation zone. Also, there are many places not far around where you may go with your children, please see our "where to go, what to do" section for this information. However, there are also lots of typical spanish entertainment areas for distraction for Example Alicante and Benidorm with thir famous night life on the north and Torrevieja on the south. Finally, this area is generally rather cheap. Cheap and good quality typical spanish markets are open on weekend mornings in Santa Pola and on Thursday mornings in Gran Alacant, only 5 minutes walk from our apartment. There you can buy excellent fresh fruits and vegetables as well as cheap but good quality spanish shoes and other lether products. Restaurants and markets on the Costa Blanca are generally cheaper than on Costa del Sol and Mallorca. In the Gran Alacant shopping centre (5 minutes drive) you will find all you may need for self-catering holidays.

Surface area 70m2.
Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, open plan kitchen, balcony, terrace on the roof with a good view and terrace on the ground floor. Fully furnished. Parking in front of the apartment.
Bedding: 1 double bed, 2 single beds, 1 sofabed for 2. No baby cot. Bed linen and towels provided, but not beach towels.
Kitchen: hot plate, oven, microwave, fridge with a freezer-box, dinnerware, cooking battery.
Washing machine, iron, ironing board.
TV-set with satellite antenna with English, Swedish, Danish and Norwegian channels.
Roof terrace: permanent barbeque, outdoor furniture - table, 4 chairs, parasol.
Ground floor terrace: outdoor furniture - table, 4 chairs, parasol.

Our guests have access to the communal pool just behind the house. The pool has both adult and children areas.

Where to go, what to do
Gran Alacant, where our holiday apartment is situated, is a mainly residential area and therefore very calm and perfect for family holidays. A comfortable sandy beach typical for the Costa Blanca is 15 minutes walk from the apartment. Large beaches follow one another along the whole of the Costa Blanca and the wide beach of Gran Alacant is one of the most comfortable ones, where beach-chairs and sun umbrellas are provided as well as a rescue service.
Several nice restaurants are in a walking distance. Among them we would advise an argentinian Steak-house serving very tasty steaks located on the avenida del Mediterraneo.
For the closest siteseeing we advise Santa Pola, Elche and Alicante. If you are keen to go further and see more, there's a huge oceanographic and scientific museum complex in Valencia.
For family:
Children will surely rejoice at the RioSafari zoo located 12 km from Gran Alacant, between Santa Pola and Elche. You also have Terra Mitica amusement park and Terra Natura and Aqua Natura parks located in Benidorm, 65km from Gran Alacant. Marine and Exotic Animal Park in Mundomar is near Benidorm. For sea sport lovers:
There are two sailing schools in Santa Pola (4km from Gran Alacant): Ocio Nautico and Club Nautico de Santa Pola. Everything on water sports in the Costa Blanca region: scuba diving, sailing, water-skiing, kitesurfing, windsurfing etc.

There are many golf clubs 15-40km around Gran Alacant, the closest would be the Campo de Golf El Plantío (15km by car from Gran Alacant), then follow Golf & Country Club La Marquesa (30km), La Finca Algorfa Golf (35km) and Alicante Golf (35km), a very good course, highly recommended. We rent our holiday apartment really cheap:
May and June - 300 Euros per week.
July, August and September - 400 Euros per week.
Other months - 200 Euros per week.
Cleaning supplement on departure: 65Euros.
If you like you can hire bed linen and towels:
7 Euros per set of bed linen and
7 Euros per set of towels.
Security deposit 200 Euros. Arrival any day and short stays allowed.
No animals permitted.
